Wawona exteriorLike the Hotel Washington in New Hampshire, we envisioned the deep, wraparound porches at the historic Wawona Hotel as a welcoming destination for visitors and guests – places to rock and chat, to read a book, sip a cocktail, or just enjoy the breeze and the view

We knew from our research in the National Park Service archive that wicker once played a major role at The Wawona – a material popular during the Victorian era because it was lightweight and easy to keep clean. We researched and specified seating of durable all weather wicker – pieces that looked historically appropriate, but which were resin-coated, paper-wrapped wire that had been woven on an aluminum frame. The two coordinating fabrics we selected for the seat cushions complimented the hotel’s exterior paint scheme.Wawona Veranda Furnishings (wicker frames) Wawona ExteriorWawona exterior 2
