Edward McCann

Ed McCann is a writer whose features and essays have been published in national magazines and literary journals. With degrees in business and communications from the City and State Universities of New York, Ed worked for six years as an award-winning broadcast television writer and producer, originating a weekly magazine show and collaborating on a series of documentaries and special news reports.

Ed left television to accept a writer/producer position at The Culinary Institute of America, where he spent a year creating instructional videos for the institute’s students and for the hospitality industry. In 1995, Ed partnered with designer Richard Kollath to form a new company, Kollath-McCann Creative Services.

The troubleshooting and project management skills Ed developed during his years in TV translate well into the print and event work he does today. “Each project Richard and I take on is unique and, to a large extent, unpredictable, but we've never lost sight of the goal -- or missed a deadline.”

Ed is a contributing editor for Country Living magazine, and wrote the text for Richard’s books Country Finishes and Faux Flowers
